in a silent way

Perhaps my favorite place to eat and drink in all of Maine.

Owners Chandler and Zack have created the most peaceful and personable space: soft light, mellow music, charming views, genuine kindness and hospitality.

On the menu is a small but exceptional selection of wines by the glass and small plates. The food is amazing: carefully sourced, mostly local, not a trace of pretense but an abundance of care. I get the salad every time, and enjoy how it changes with the season. Emily’s oysters are always pristine. I had the best potato salad of my life here. The best panna cotta too, for that matter.

Chandler’s wine recommendations never fail. I love that we can enjoy a glass at the bar and pop into the wine shop as we leave to bring a bottle home.

We visit as often as we can and always feel grateful for the time spent there.
